Kids and Teen Dance Classes in Portland
2026-2027 Youth Dance Registration
VMAC NextGen helps kids build confidence, coordination, creativity, and community through dance. Our Portland youth program offers age-appropriate classes for preschoolers, kids, and teens, with styles including Hip Hop, K-Pop, Latin Dance, Jazz & Ballet, Breaking, and more.
Registration for the 2026-2027 VMAC NextGen youth dance season is open. Our school-year youth program runs September 16, 2026-June 6, 2027, with weekly classes grouped by age and style. Classes have limited space, and families may register throughout the year as long as space is available.
Summer Dance Camps
VMAC NextGen summer dance camps give kids a fun, active, and creative place to move during the summer. Camps are week-long and include dance, creativity, confidence-building, friendships, and a supportive Portland studio environment.
Current camps accepting registration: June 15, June 22, July 6, July 27, August 10, and August 17.
Schedule:
Morning Half Day: 9AM - 12PM - $275 per child per week
Afternoon Half Day: 1PM - 4PM - $275 per child per week
Full day schedule: 9AM - 4PM - $495 per child per week
August Hip Hop Dance Series
Ages 7-13 | Tuesdays only | August 4-August 25 | 4:30 PM-5:30 PM
VMAC NextGen's summer Hip Hop Dance Series is now live for August. Students will learn fun Hip Hop moves, choreography and technique, make friends, build confidence, and express themselves in a supportive all-levels class. Beginners and experienced dancers are welcome.

Time: 4:30 PM-5:30 PM
Ages: 7-13
Tuition: $75
Location: VMAC, 2648 E Burnside St, Portland, OR
What Students Will Gain:
Fun Hip Hop movement, choreography and technique, new friendships, confidence, self-expression, and a welcoming place to dance every week.
