New Student Guide
Welcome to VMAC NextGen. We are excited to help your child begin a positive, consistent dance experience at the studio. For the 2026-2027 season, families may register directly for available classes.
Step 1: Register for the 2026-2027 Season
Registration is open for the school-year youth dance season running September 16, 2026-June 6, 2027. At launch, paid registration is open first for families who are ready to reserve a spot. Trials are not available at launch; trial opportunities may open closer to the season start if space allows.
Step 2: Choose the Right Class
Classes are grouped by age and style, including Hip Hop, K-Pop, Latin Dance, Jazz & Ballet, Breaking, and more. If you are unsure which class is the best fit, contact us at [email protected] and our team will help you choose.
Step 3: Know Where to Go
VMAC is located at 2648 E Burnside St, Portland, OR. Please plan a few extra minutes for parking and check-in, especially if this is your first visit. Street parking is available nearby. Families should avoid blocking neighboring driveways, garages, or business entrances.
Step 4: What to Wear
Students should wear comfortable clothing they can move in. Clean sneakers or dance shoes are usually best unless a specific class requires something different. Please avoid shoes that track dirt onto the dance floor. Students should bring a water bottle and arrive ready to move.
Step 5: After Registration
VMAC NextGen classes are designed as an ongoing monthly commitment, not one-time drop-in classes. Once registered, your child can build skills, confidence, and connection over time.
